As we head into the winter months and prepare for the annual surge in respiratory illness and hospital demand, vaccinations for children, staff and the community remain one of our best lines of defence.

For the first time ever, both Fiona Stanley and Fremantle hospitals are proud to offer a free flu immunisation program for the community that spans both adults and children.

This means that anyone aged between 2 and 64 years is able to access their free flu vaccination at our walk-in clinics whilst onsite.

The new needle‑free FluMist influenza vaccine is available for children aged 2 to 11 years. The intranasal spray is a free, safe and effective alternative to guard children against influenza A and B, without the distress of a needle. Read more about FluMist vaccination for children.

We all need to play our part to keep children, our patients, colleagues and community safe this winter, and we are proud to be able to offer influenza vaccines to protect everyone, at every age, every winter.

Visit our friendly team at our walk-in Community Flu Vaccination Clinics:

  • Fiona Stanley Hospital, located on the main concourse near the outpatient clinic entrance, 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. See the hospital map (PDF1MB).
  • Fremantle Hospital, located in the Infection Control Clinic, B Block Level 5, 8am to 4pm, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. See the hospital map (PDF1MB).

There’s no need to book – simply turn up and the team will help you complete your consent form or you can complete the consent form online (external site).

Thank you for helping our health service to provide excellent care, every time through keeping everyone safe from flu through vaccination.

Keep up to date with our news and achievements
