Parking and transport at Fremantle Hospital

Parking

Parking in and near to Fremantle Hospital is limited.

Please allow enough time before your appointment to find a parking space and purchase a ticket.

Parking fees are displayed at all car parks.

Please note the Pay and Display ticket machines across the Fremantle Hospital campus do not have credit card payment options. Please remember to bring coins for the parking machines as reception staff are unable to provide change.

Alternatively you can pay by downloading the EasyPark App (pay-by-phone) (external link) to your smartphone.

Parking options include:

  • Fremantle Hospital visitor parking (no time limit) – find these car parks on the Fremantle Hospital map (PDF 675 KB).
  • Carpark (Alma Street and South Terrace) (maximum 4 hour time limit).
  • Street parking – (Alma Street) (3 hour time limit).

For all other surrounding street parking please refer to signs and Pay and Display ticket machines for parking fees and time limits.

ACROD parking

ACROD parking bays are located nearer to building entrances and are larger to accommodate modified vehicles and wheelchair access.

Only vehicles displaying a valid ACROD permit can park in the bays and a valid parking ticket is required.

ACROD permits need to be displayed at all times.

ACROD parking is available in the Visitors car park and along Alma Street near South Terrace. A limited number of bays are also available near most of the hospital’s buildings. Find these car parks on the hospital map (PDF 463 KB).

If there are no available ACROD spaces, ACROD permit holders can park in regular bays and a valid parking ticket is required.

Please note: ACROD parking in the Wilson Car Park is not free. A valid ticket must be displayed.


Transport options

There are a number of transport options to help you get to and from Fremantle Hospital, including convenient public transport.

Public transport

Visit Transperth (external site) or call them on 13 62 13 for your individual public transport options.

Patient drop off and pick up

There are a number of short term patient set down areas throughout the hospital – find these on the hospital map (PDF 528KB).

Transport for eligible DVA patients

Some veteran patients may be eligible to have transport arranged for them through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) (external site). For further information, phone the DVA on 1800 550 455.
