Our state-of-the-art hospital facilities feature the latest technology including electronic digital medical records, with Fiona Stanley Hospital also supporting electronic MedStations™ and automated guided vehicles (robots) for stock replacement and meal delivery. Planned projects offering exciting career opportunities for nurses include the expansion of the Fremantle Hospital Mental Health Unit. Due to open in 2025, this expansion will consist of 20 secure adult beds, 10 open adult beds, 10 neurological behavioural older adult beds and expanded mental health urgent care services.

To achieve our vision, our Nursing and Midwifery executive supports an environment which:

  • nurture, empowers, supports and inspires staff to achieve individual and team goals
  • recognises a blend of the science and art of nursing and midwifery is essential to ensuring staff are equipped for expanding roles, technologies, and research advancements whilst embracing the delivery of person-centred care.
