Ordering patient meals (Fiona Stanley Hospital)

During your hospital stay, we want to provide tasty meals that meet your dietary needs, recorded food allergies and preferences.

Using your Patient Entertainment System (PES), you can choose meals that suit your preferences and cultural needs.

If you do not have a PES, a food service attendant can order for you on their laptop.

Important notes

  • Your first meal will be ordered for you, until you are able to order your own meals using the PES.
  • We will arrange a meal for you if orders for that mealtime have already closed – see these closing times below.
  • Meals can be ordered up to seven days in advance. If you change your mind, you can reorder up until the meal ordering closing time.
  • If your treating team changes your diet or you need to fast, you will need to re-order your meals.

Meal service times

Morning meals (orders close at 4:50am each morning)

  • Breakfast: 7:00am to 8.30am
  • Morning tea: 10:00am to 11:00am

Afternoon meals (orders close at 7:00am each morning)

  • Lunch: 12:00pm to 1:30pm
  • Afternoon tea: 3:00pm to 4:00pm

Evening meals (orders close at by 12:00pm each day)

  • Dinner: 5:00pm to 6:30pm
  • Supper: 7:00pm to 8:00pm

How to order your meals

If you need help, your family or friends can place your order for you. You can also ask a volunteer or the food service attendant who delivers your meal and snacks.
